We did it! We have a ONE year old. How is that even possible? Wasn’t I just waddling around and mowing the lawn at 38 weeks pregnant only to go into labor the same night? Abrielle took her first steps at 10 1/2 months and hasn’t stopped going since! She is the sweetest and most fun little girl who we just love to pieces. Having a baby has definitely challenged my multi-tasking abilities and OCD ways, but I am still 100% Type A. I began planning her party MONTHS ago and always knew it would be dog-themed. Many of you know I met my husband at a local dog park and he proposed back at the same park. Our dogs were even in our wedding, so it only seemed fitting that Abrielle would have a paw-ty and did I mention the event actually fell on National Dog Day??!
I have to also give a HUGE thank you to my dear friend Brie of Wake & Bake. She created the most amazing custom smash cakes, guest cake, pup-cakes and milestone chalkboard sign. Without her I probably would have lost my sanity and the entire party wouldn’t have been nearly as cute. Definitely go check out her work and tell her I sent you! I had such a blast channeling my creative side and bringing the “adopt a puppy” station to life, making the various menu signs, planning the food and creating her custom high chair tutu skirt. Enjoy the photos!
