The Guinness Book of World Records has officially sanctioned the Chihuahua Parade and Festival to attempt to break the record of the most dogs in costume. (Don’t worry – even if you don’t have a costume for your pup, there will be bandannas given to dogs who need a “costume” at the event) The goal to break the Guinness Book of World Records is atleast 700 costumed dogs, parading down a city street on the Cinco de Mayo holiday. Register your dog by clicking here. The cost is only a $5 entry fee which is donated straight to The Pet Connection (any breed of dog is welcome to be in the parade – don’t let the name “Chihuahua” fool you!) This story has been promoted nationally in USA Today and even Yahoo News.
UPDATE: I have all of the images from the event uploaded onto a gallery link online. Just go to this link: http://fixyourimages.smugmug.com/and find the first album called “Cinco de Mayo Parade”. Click on that album and the password is cinco. A $10 donation made onsite was for ONE photo only. If you decide you want more than one photo, it is an additional $10 per photo which can be sent to me in form of check or cash or I can take credit card payments over the phone. Please note that most of the photos in this album are NOT edited – I can remove leashes, remove distracting background elements, clean up the ground if it has litter and process color corrections. Just be sure to include what kind of edit you want done to your photo (s). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase photos.
