Dogs’ Point of View – The World Through Your Pet’s Eyes – Garmin VIRB Elite Action Camera

I am sure everyone has heard of the Go Pro by now. Meet the Garmin VIRB – the enhanced (in my humble opinion) version of an action camera. Some of my favorite features that outweigh the Go Pro are the built-in screen, higher 16 mega pixel capability and their video editing software.

Features:

  • 1080p HD video recording with 16 megapixel CMOS image processor
  • 1.4″ Chroma display
  • High-sensitivity GPS, accelerometer and barometric altimeter
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery (record up to 3 hours at 1080p)
  • Rugged, durable and water resistant (IPX7) with an aerodynamic design

You might think this is the perfect camera to capture fast-paced action, but have you ever wondered how your pet views the world? My creative husband rigged up a little collar strap in order to see life from our dog’s perspective. Garmin also sells a custom harness with attachment points to place the camera behind your dog’s head or over the right shoulder.

Remington of course wanted to help model this fun apparatus. Stay tuned for more clips of the world through our dogs’ point of view.

And check out this fun footage from the snowy weekend. Forgive the bouncy portions and the blurry lens. Remington likes to dip his face in the snow which got the lens wet and we are still perfecting the type of mounting harness.
