I am not the best at taking step-by-step photos as I build a new project, but if you click on the links above, you will find all the steps you need to create these pillows.  Basically I bought pillow forms (or you can use pillows you already have and just give them a new look) and cut burlap for the front and back of the pillow leaving about 2 inches on each side. Then I placed cardboard on a table and laid out one cut side of the burlap and placed my stencils by pinning them down using corsage pins.  Then I brushed on the fabric paint and let it dry for a bit. Peel off the stencils and then use twine to tie together each side of the burlap around the pillow.  Just let your creativity take over and try not to worry about getting it exactly like the tutorials. It will be unique and all your own! Tell me how you did and post your finished product on my Facebook page.

Again, I did not do very well at taking step-by-step photos, but the above links will give you more than enough information. I bought a wire form wreath (super cheap) and then weaved burlap in and out per the tutorials above.  My “puffs” don’t look exactly like the tutorial because I bought burlap that wasn’t nearly as wide as the burlap shown in the tutorial. It’s just up to your personal preference.  Once I was done with the main burlap, then I used the chevron ribbon as another layer to help fill in the gaps.  I also found a unique way to finish an unfinished wooden letter by gluing scrapbook paper to it.  Most of the tutorials tell you to use some type of decoupage glue but I just used a thin layer of Elmer’s glue applied with a foam brush and it worked well. Good luck and be sure to show me how you did! You can follow me on Pinterest too.
